"I am so excited about Heron's Lodge because there are not many opportunities for day care in our area. Our aim is to enhance our clients' day by providing fun and interesting activities while socialising with other individuals in a relaxed countryside surrounding."
Frankie Filmer - Heron's Lodge
We opened our doors to a new venture of providing day care to adults on the 1st of Semptember 2015.
The lodge consists of a spacious hallway and toilet, leading to a large kitchen / dining area. There is a comfortable sitting room and a rest 'bedroom', all on the ground floor. There is also a large shower / wet room with a toilet.
It is managed by two experienced and qualified members of our care team. The manager has been responsible for adult day care for over 20 years, so present and prospective clients will be guaranteed a pleasurable, varied day.
The objective is to provide a fun and stimulating day.
Adults living with dementia.
Able elderly adults who are in need of some company and a 'day out' of normal routine.
"When Roy's previous day care centre had to close, I was very wary of finding another which was caring and not leaving their clients sitting around doing very little all day. So I was delighted to find Heron's Lodge which was about to open. On meeting Frankie for the first time, I knew this was not going to be the case. She is a very lively, energetic lady and always has a smile on her face, greeting everybody as if they are the most important person, making them feel wanted. Ollie has a most cheerful personality and again, greets the men especially as if they are his 'buddies'"

"Mum loves her time spent at Heron's Lodge. From the first day, she felt as if she belonged. Frankie and Ollie are so friendly and welcoming, they had soon established a clear understanding of mum's needs, likes and dislikes and so were able to provide stimulating activities to suit her. We are so delighted mum is very well cared for and that she has gained a new circle of friends."
